The independent class is made up of various beings in the galaxy that work for an exclusive group — themselves. Whether it be for personal gain, security, or power, members of the independent class often try to stay away from the war between the Empire and the New Republic... unless, of course, something is to be gained from it. However, although the independents are made of up of a broad spectrum of individuals from bounty hunters to leaders of free planets, one thing is consistent for the most part: in a battle between good and evil, there rarely are any gray areas. Therefore, just like independents such as Han Solo and Boba Fett, most independents will be forced to choose one side or another.
