This file contains my notes and research for the SWC galaxy map. At the beginning I'm including instructions on how to construct this map. Putting it here will keep everything together without becoming dated, while slowly transforming these notes into a full specification.
There are a number of things which suggest that WEG had its own, private map at some point; Lucas never allowed them to publish one, and it seems like it was put away and only some of their writers looked it up later. I don't remember what all of them are, except that sometimes there were too many coincidences in how things were put together. I won't be getting into that here, however.
The Star Wars Galaxy is a spiral galaxy with a diameter of about 120,000 light years (it seems to have been bumped up in various sources to reflect a change in the Milky Way's declared size from 100,000 to 120,000 light years). It is undecided whether it is a barred spiral galaxy; however, both the map of the Slice and the map of the Rimma Run show the Core Worlds as having a circular border which does not vary, compared with all the other Region boundaries, which do. If it is a barred spiral, the bars would extend into the Colonies or Inner Rim Planets.
The Known Galaxy is organized into Regions. There are two different types of Regions, "major" and "minor," but both go under the official political designation of "Region." They contain anywhere from three sectors to many hundreds of them. The "major" Regions are concentric rings around the Galaxy in this order:
The "minor" Regions are designated areas of space (again, defined politically), with a certain cultural coherency, but likely also based around local astrographic features. These Regions fit inside the "major" Regions and correspond to pieces missing from their pie. This list is only some of the "minor" Regions:
"Minor" Regions regions must be distinguished from client states like the Corporate Sector, Hutt Space, and Centrality.
To describe the placement of locations on the galaxy map, I cut across the borders of Regions to define areas based on gameplay, strategy, and overarching themes. This is largely based on trade routes and the assortment of places they service. Trade routes also serve to establish a skeleton which systems and sectors can be placed into. The "major" Regions were based on distance from the Core. These areas and trade routes begin with direction from the Core. Start with the Slice and go counterclockwise from there:
Area 1: Core Worlds
Core Worlds (RPG 195, AJ7 207) ("Mid-Core" (AJ7 210); lesser worlds, developed relatively late in Old Republic history (AJ7 212))
Group 1: Near Coruscant
- Bessimir (BTS 7) (15 parsecs from Coruscant? (17); near Coruscant (DVS-GM))
- Coriallis (AJ6 133) (a few hours from Coruscant at x1 (AJ7 166))
- Duneeden (reference?) (near Coruscant)
- Eeropha (reference?) (near Coruscant; a major refueling world for ships heading to Coruscant; had a Senator)
- Metellos system, Metellos (CCW 110, DES 82) (nearby or next to Coruscant (CCW 110) - claims the same sector; check spelling versus Metelos; settled before the Republic; murky history; 1,200 meter high floating cities above housing precincts)
- Salliche (AJ2 231) (Salliche Ag Corporation administrates 18 agricultural worlds in the Core Worlds; Moff Gregen Throsen; more info (CRO 35))
- Utrost (CCW 49) (just a few light years from Coruscant; cosmopolitan)
"an out-of-the-way little place about three hours from Coruscant" (AJ13 266)
Hydian Way (AJ7 220) (from the Mid-Core out to the Corporate Sector - maybe it wraps around some?)
Ringali Nebula (AJ7 211)
Ringali Shell (AJ7 211)
Azure sector (CCW 47)
- Axum system, Anaxes and Axum (CCW 46) (Core Worlds; strategic; "Perlemian Trade Route" (WotC doesn't understand the Perlemian one bit); "Defender of the Core", in "Sector Zero" oversector with Coruscant; Anaxes Citadel - one third the size of Imperial Palace (49))
- Lolnar (FBS 14) (Core World; in Azure sector, on the Martial Cross, near the border with the Colonies (PDC-GM))
Bormea sector (AJ7 212)
- Brentaal system, Brentaal (AJ7 218, CCW 55, FOP map) (place (HNN 47); Brentaal IV (HNN 53); Brentaal Commerce Academy (PG 10); Governor Maclain (PG 17))
- Chandrila system, Chandrila (AJ7 216; CCW 75; FOP map) (place (HNN 47); ChandrilTech (GFT 32); Tagge Holographic Museum (CG 3); gambler (SS 28))
- Corulus system, Corulag (AJ7 214, CCW 75, FOP map) (city (WH 12), 3 hours from Coruscant (accepted from RPG astrogation table); city (HNN 54); university (FTD 15), a local (PG 73); Imperial Academy branch (CCW 76), Dammon University; aviary (CCW 136))
Corellian sector (AJ2 227, AJ8 189)
- Bovo Yagen system (CTD 120, AE 34) (near the Corellian Trade Route, but not on it)
- Corellian system, Corellia (CTD 123, CCW 69) (larger yards than Kuat (PSG 38); 4 hours from Coruscant (accepted from RPG astrogation table); spaceports (MTS 60); one of the inner worlds of the Core (AJ7 212); Republic constitutional clauses and stature (HNN 47); Corellian Double-brandy (CA3 18) - illegal?; baked Corellian potatoes and Corellian air cake (LOECG 55); Corellian alloy tursturin (GG2 78); Corellia referred to as "Corell" by Leia (RMOM); many fueling depots in outer Gus Treta, a spaceport in the Corellian system (MTSSE 8))
- Denon (reference?) (at the confluence of the Hydian Way and Corellian Run (reference?); between Nubia and Osarian (reference?); a city world (reference?); in the Inner Rim but I'm damn well moving it to the Core Worlds where the intersection actually is (DVS-GM); this is the Mid-Core endpoint of the Hydian Way (DVS-GM))
- Drall (CCW 80, CTD reference?; AE 39) (I'm making it its own system (DVS-GM))
- Jumus (reference?) (located between Corellia and New Plympto; unimportant)
- Leria Kersil system, Leria Kersil (CTD 131) (located between Coruscant and Corellia, which are 4 hours apart, but somehow still backwater... the Corellian Trilogy sucks; Leria Kerlsil (HNN 53); Mid-Rim (HNN 52))
- New Plympto system, New Plympto (CCW 114) (Core World; outlying system in the Corellian sector; on the Corellian Trade Spine; contacted some 10 thousand years ago; can I infer a "Plympto" system?)
- Nubus system, Nubia (CCW 118, HNN 45, 55) (Core World; in Corellian sector (CCW map); on the Corellian Run (CCW map); Industrial Automaton headquarters here; PharmCorp; Nubia Star Drives, Inc.; 22 thousand years ago; refered to as "in the sector," with no reference to Corellia in the text; the map (CCW 5) shows it on the border, like Duros, but not nearby - maybe it would end up in Azure sector, but that doesn't seem to fit; in a position to resupply Duros (SWI74 67))
- Sacorria system, Sacorria (CCW 141, CTD 132) (CCW has different stats which are probably better for a Core World; outlying system of the Corellian sector)
- Selonia (CCW 145, CTD reference?; AE 133) (I'm making it its own system (DVS-GM); FTD 67)
- Talfaglia (reference?) (another backwater world that doesn't belong; Talfaglio (NJOS 138))
- Talus, Tralus, and Centerpoint Station (CCW 149, CTD reference?) (I'm making them their own system (DVS-GM); Tralus (HNN 47))
- Thanta Zilbra (CTD 134) (outpost founded more than 10 years ago)
Darpa sector (AJ7 221)
- Essesia system, Esseles (AJ7 221, CCW 90, FOP map) (businesses (AJ6 229); place (HNN 47); Esselian Empire controlled 19 worlds but sent in a Senator from each of them (CCW 90); Spinerad University on Esseles (GG2 43))
- Nopces system, Nopces Prime (FOP 122) (a minor system on the Mid-Core edge of Darpa sector, along the Hydian Way)
--therefore the Hydian Way goes into Darpa sector...
- Ralltiir system, Ralltiir (AJ7 224, CCW 128, FOP map, HNN 47, WCPH) (animal (BTS 32); Ralltiir Exchange stock market (AJ6 232); place (HNN 47); "pre-Republic Dellaltian warship" (CCW 139); Leia was here with the Tantive IV three weeks before the Battle of Yavin (UMRS 10); when Leia left, she fled to Kattada (UMRS 12))

Border Station 1B6/Green (FOP map, 60) (station)
Border Station 2LC/Blue (FOP map, reference?) (station)
Duro sector (WBC 74, CCW 85) (most of the sector is fully settled; this and the Duros Space Run in the OR in Gamemaster Handbook will show the route to be a galactic route...)
- Duro system (GG4 39, CCW 85) (part of setting at least 15,000 years ago (GG12 14); on the extreme edge of the Core (RCR 25); Duro Starshipwright Shipyards (86); Duro Defense Force (90); 20 orbital cities, including Bburru Station (capital), Rrudobar, and Urrdorf City (86) - I kind of disagree on how damaged the surface of Duro is; Neimoidia sounds like it was their first colony - so why didn't it end up in the Core Worlds? because it was a "colony"?; Duros ale (LOECG 55); Jyvus is a city? (reference?); could be reinforced from Kuat and Nubia (SWI74 67); on the Corellian Trade Spine (SWI74 67) - I'm specifically rejecting this but will let Duro have a local route that goes there to support the Clone Wars story (DVS-GM))
Duros Space Run (GMH 112?)
The Duros met the Corellians early on, and weren't repressed by the Empire to the extent that they could have been. Therefore, Duro will be placed in the Core Worlds.
Imperial Center/"Republic sector"/Coruscant sector
- Coruscant (RPG 261, CCW 8) (at least six planets? (BTS 76); 4 day jump zone (BTS 220); landing field (SP 289); building (SP 295); "Coruscant sector fleet" (LC 78, 173, 191*); theater (DFR 85); wing of Imperial Palace (DFR 214); Menarai mountain details (SOE 77), animal and weather control (HNN 45), building/arcology (HNN 45), skylanes (HNN 46), university (HNN 47, 55), arena (HNN 47); Judicial Arcology (HNN 48); medical academy (HNN 49); districts and skylanes (HNN 49, 51, 52); another area (HNN 49); hospital (HNN 50); science building (HNN 50); monuments (HNN 53); "lengthy hyperroutes" - Martial Cross, Shawken Spur, Koros Trunk Line, Metellos Trade Route, Perlemian Trade Route, Corellian Run (CCW 8); Crimson Corridor is a sector on Coruscant (PJS 121); 10,000 light years from the Core (center of the galaxy, probably) (IWSW1 5); Hesperidium resort moon in Coruscant system (POT 82, 83, 14, 10); view from Hesperidium (POT 95); Coruscant blush wine and Coruscant red wine vinaigrette (LOECG 55))
[in Coruscant's back yard] (a series of Clone War battles in the Core Worlds (NEC 73); this series is NOT necessarily grouped or in a line, contrary to encyclopedia website references; needs access to Anaxes; these things may be well-placed one plane above the equatorial; reference? - flag to recheck the planets mentioned at NEC 73)
Koros Trunk Line (CCW 8) (runs from Coruscant through Ruan at edge of Deep Core to Empress Teta in the Deep Core (various); is a planet or system named Koros inferrable?); also called the Carbonite Pipeline (WotC Planet Hoppers); travels from the planet Koros past Kuar and to the planets Foerost, Kaikielius, and then Coruscant (WotC Planet Hoppers))
- Alsakan (CSA 61, DES 39, NEC 73) (Core Worlds, approaching Coruscant? (DES 76); colonized by the ship Kuat Explorer; settled before the Republic; city (HNN 53); on the Perlemian Trade Route?! (reference?) - fools; once a Killik colony (reference?); nearby to Alderaan? (reference?))
- Basilisk (PJS 106, NEC 73)
- Foerest (HNN 53, NEC 73) (shipyards; once a Republic staging area)

- Ruan (AJ2 231) (Salliche Ag world; Ruan is on the edge of the Deep Core between Coruscant and the Empress Teta system (JE 56); Koros Trunk Line runs from Coruscant through Ruan to the Empress Teta system just inside the Deep Core (author on theforce.net))
- Vulpter (HNN 50) (at the end of a smuggling run between it and Empress Teta (Planet Hoppers))
Demophon sector (SN 71) (possible: "in the sector like Demophon"; "sector" used two other times on that page; "faced with leaving for a backwater system..." - Demophon is not backwater; huge bulk freighters in the sector; even smuggling is difficult here; it took the Alliance quite a while to find a location for a permanent base in the sector; these things - not backwater, heart of the Republic/Empire, smuggling difficult, bulk freighters all over, few serious Rebels - describe something in the Core Worlds (DVS-GM); since the founder of the modern scout service found Demophon, it must be in the Inner Core or Deep Core, because those are the places in the Core Worlds still left to explore (DVS-GM))
- Demophon system (SN 3) (supernova; located near what was the very heart of the Old Republic (2); near the heart of Imperial space (2); named after the founder of the modern scout service (2); if it were a Core World, the Empire probably would have evacuated it...; supernova projected (NHH 47); very much in the sway of the Empire (2); few, if any, serious Rebel agents among its inhabitants (2))
- Kantel system, Tyed Kant (SN 33; P&P 122) (nearby Demophon; same star cluster; in use during the Old Republic; Mid-Rim or Outer Rim? (HNN 56))
Orflon (SN 73) (not on star charts (69); asteroid, not a system; lies well off the normal space lanes just outside of Demophon)
- Refgar (SN 82) (a planet in the general vicinity of Orflon)
- Stribos system, Butler's Cove (SN 80) (neighboring system to Demophon (81))
Group 3: Darksaber Deep Core

Harrsk's planet (DN 63) (Deep Core)
Teradoc's system (Deep Core)
Tsoss Beacon (127, Planet Hoppers) (Deep Core; an abandoned space station)
- Khomm system, Khomm (DN 279, JAS 38, UAA 86, EGP 110, Planet Hoppers) (Core Worlds; outer fringes of the Deep Core (EGP xiv); one hour from an Imperial gathering point in the Deep Core (237); 'right on the edge of the Core Systems' (281); Anderson doesn't understand the "Core Systems" - he's describing the only Deep Core (57); Khommites (PJS 67); in the Deep Core (UAA 86))
Group 4: Area around Farlax sector
23 emergency petitions to join the New Republic (SOL 232) (18 are from within Farlax sector (4 of which are the 'closest' ones) and 5 are outside)

Widek Bypass (CCW 5, 100?, 111, 112) (bypass or extension on the Metellos Trade Route, going around the Koornacht Cluster from Orooturoo to Widek; stops at such obscure Farlax sector planets as Wehttam, Thobek, and Galantos)

- Wehttam (BTS 269, CCW reference? 5, 111, 112) (galactic neighbor of the Koornacht Cluster (BTS 263); one of the four closest worlds (SOL 235); on the Widek Bypass (CCW reference? 111, 112?))
Koornacht Cluster (BTS 84, 263, CTD 65) (just inside Farlax sector (67); along the New Republic-Imperial Core border? (67); a potential staging area for going into the Deep Core? (67); 12 Duskhan League worlds (Yevethan - N'zoth plus 11 colonies) (BTS 264, CCW 123), then they added 12 more worlds (BTS 265); probably 17 other worlds in the cluster (BTS 84); D. - Doornik 628E (J't'p'tan) (CCW web; BTS 272, CTD 68, TT 219) (H'kig colony (SOL 197); in the interior/heart of the Cluster (SOL 198; CCW); on the outskirts of the Cluster? (BTS 185); CCW map (5))

Widek sector (BTS 84) (on the other side of Farlax from Coruscant?)
- Widek (CCW reference?)
The Farlax group is nuts because the author was too. The descriptions reasonably push it entirely out of any association with the Deep Core. But it's where everyone is putting it, and helps develop the Inner Core.
Group 5: Black Fleet Crisis Deep Core
- Carconth (TT 108, 117+) (red supergiant; on the vagabond's route to the Core?; might be 6 hours from Prakith (TT 118))

Group 6: Andur Sunrider Capsule - edge of Core Worlds
- Darada (TOTJC 17)
- Krayiss Two (TOTJC 17) ("Two" refers to a system, not a planet?; Krayiss Two has twin moons (84))
Group 7: Hyabb Twith Campaign - "on the spinward arc of the Core"
Hyabb-Twith Corridor: "a disputed parsec on the spinward arc of the Core" (TOTJC 18) (not necessarily a trade route)
- Dachat (TOTJC 19) (homeworld the Nelori Marauders fled; might not be in area)
- Hyabb (TOTJC 19) (possibly the name for a government or species)
- Twith (TOTJC 19) (possibly the name for a government or species; more likely to be a government than Hyabb)
- Voon (TOTJC 19) (Nelori main base (had nearby bases too); on disputed territory between Hyabb and Twith; could this put it in the Colonies?)

(HNN 49); city (HNN 49); Caamasi refugees (CCW 60) - possibly near Caamas? - it is on the CCW map (5); lake of Aldera (POT 143); Alderaan beach snail (MIWM); Alderaan Graveyard near the Rimma Run? (NEC 140))
- Handooine system, Handooine and Jabiim (SWI reference?; SWDB - look it up again) (neighboring Alderaan; in the Alderaan sector?; Jabiim in the Republic for 3,000 years and ignored... (SWDB); nearby Handooine (SWDB))

Group 9: The Tion
"The Tion is a cluster of stars in one of the galaxy's long spirals comprised of some 12,000 stars. The Tion embraces nearly 600 habitable planets currently organized into three sectors." (MTL 12)
The history of the Tion and the empire of Xim the Despot (GOR 35) (Xim's empire stretched from the Maw Cluster spinward to the Radama Void (GOR 35); Xim's empire broke up into the Kingdom of Cron, the Jaminere Marches, the Indrexan Confederation, the Keldrath Alignment, the Thanium Worlds, and the Honorable Union of Desevro and Tion (GOR 35); the Empire stripped the Tion Hegemony of its Rimward possessions and formed them into the Indrexu and Heldrath sectors (GOR 36))
Cronese Sweeps that presaged the rise of Xim the Despot (GOR 70))
By "Tion Cluster," WotC seems to mean the Tion Hegemony. Dumb.
Indrexu Spiral (WCTF 10) ("A mass of protomatter, cometary debris, and asteroid fields that snakes through the Tion Cluster. It's presence is a hazard to interstellar shipping, forcing starships to go parsecs out of their way to avoid it. No one has been able to map it accurately, much less find a safe route through it - until recently" (10); there are lots of routes through the Tion - how is finding this one adventageous?; near Endregaad (24); series of jumps necessary to get through, cutting 24 hours off the usual travel time; I think this should only be an obstacle when you're coming from Hutt Space - this would help explain why in all this time, the Hutts haven't been able to take over the Tion (DVS-GM))
None of a particular creature have appeared further in than the relatively remote Tion (CG 48)
- Abraxin (PJS 79) (in the Tion Cluster)
- Falang Minor (GOR 35) (the Jedi watched the Tion from here)

- Joxin system, Endregaad (WCTF 4, 10, 22) (in the Tion Cluster; 'backwater' even by Tion Hegemony standards; near Rudrig?)
- Ord Radama (IWSW1 5, IWSW2 3) (in the Mid-Rim; this location fits with the Radama Void (DVS-GM); IWSW2 moves it over to the Outer Rim - these are haphazard maps; conquered by Xim the Despot (reference?); Radama Void sector?! (reference?))
Tion Industries (GFT 14)
Allied Tion sector (MTL 13) (midway between Cronese Mandate and Tion Hegemony)
"Location on main star routes between the Core Worlds and the Corporate Sector." (MTL 13)
"Now the Allied Tion is a seat of manufacturing and trade, and nearly fifteen percent of all passenger liners in the galaxy operate out of the Allied Tion." (MTL 13)
Large volume of trade and vital strategic importance (MTL 13)
There is no way 15% of passenger liners operate out of something at the outer edge of the Outer Rim Territories, as is claimed on that New Jedi Order map, and all that trade cannot be based on just the CSA (it would just be layovers and a supply area, in that case, not a place you're actually basing things out of). Therefore the Tion will be on the Hydian Way farther Coreward. This meshes with Hutt Space being between the Mid-Rim and OR in one of those essential guides. Overall, at this place, the Mid-Rim has three Regions in it: Hutt Space (essentially just a sector), the Tion (three sectors - the Cronese Mandate, the Allied Tion, and the Tion Hegemony), and the Periphery Regions (the Periphery and perhaps adjacent sectors, between Hutt Space at the Outer Rim).
- Amarin (MTL 20)

- Kanaver (GOR 36)
- Risban (H&S 61)
- Rudrig (FTD 63, GOR 36) (University at Rudrig in the Tion)

- Saheelindeel (GOR 39, HLL reference?)
- Tion (GOR 36) ("Tion proper" in a list of planets)
Phrase (SOL 169) ('Time to [do something] and be half-way to the Tion Hegemony'; suggests Tion is far from Core or maybe that the location (Atzerri or that region of space) is distant from the Tion)

- Zhar system, Gall and Kile (SOE 57, EGP 200, SWC?) (far out in the Rim; SWI: Neutral Worlds; orbits gas giant Zhar (22); other moon (58); long trip to Tatooine from here, but Luke took it in his X-wing (104); main formation and deployment point in the Outer Rim's Cadavine sector (PG 20); small Klatooinan Trade Guild outfit; backwater fringes (EGP 200); only a short hop from Dorvalla (EGP 200); in the Outer Rim (EGP xvi); independent (SWI: Neutral Worlds))

(GOR 41); a list of all the inhabited worlds of Moddell sector? (SWG 39 reference?); between Ablajeck and Spar sectors (reference?); "the Inner Moddell was defined by the line from Vasha through Vex and Mina to Kuna's Tooth, while the Outer Moddell contained Endor, Sanyassa, and the Din and Monsua Nebulae" (reference?); hyperspace problems could be based on old core of the "Zuma" dwarf galaxy (DVS-GM))

Spar sector (SWG9 reference?)
Group 11: Outer Zuma region (SWG9 reference?) (four sectors, below the Inner Zuma; uncharted until 1,000 years ago)
Fusai sector (SWG9 reference?)
- Fusai (SWG9 reference?)

- Paonid system (TTS 125) (a neighboring system to Obroa-skai; neutral but leaning towards the New Republic; Obroa-skai was too, so put this one in the New Republic with it (DVS-GM))
- Tholatin (TT 162) (on the way from Kashyyyk to Koornacht Cluster)
- Trandosha (AIR 55, UAA 166) (animal (48); may be near Mytaranor sector (AIR 95 reference?); "Dosha" (AJ4 232, UAA 166); "Hsskor" (UAA 166); city (HNN 48); Trandoshan borders (HNN 48); Wookiee senator blockaded trade (HNN 48); it has to at least be near Kashyyyk, if it's not in the same system (DVS-GM))
Halla sector (WCMS Katarn2)
- Saari Hu system, Bimmisaari (HES 78, EGP 44, AE 29) (far from the Core; were they on a diplomatic mission anywhere else at the time? Where did they flee to?; outer reaches of the Mid-Rim (HNN 52, UAA 23, EGP xvi); millennia ago? (UAA 23); capital of Halla sector (WCMS Katarn2))
Group 14: Herglic Space
- Gandeal (AJ5 252)
- Laakteen Depot (GOR 158) (from Classic Star Wars?; a pirate base located just off the Giju Run in the Colonies)
- Ophideraan (SWDB Tanith Shire) (near Fondor?)

(UAA 70); Giju Passage; Herglic algae ice cream (LOECG 55))

Group 15: Other Rimma Run Locales
- Askaj (AE 27; MTSSE 81) (a boiling desert planet located in the Outer Rim, a day's travel off the Rimma Trade Route; isolated world but visited by traders; could be further Rimward...?)

Givin Domain (HNN reference?) (how strongly can I support this? those online encyclopedias are frequently lame and presumptious)
- Yag'Dhul (GG4 44, LOESG 18, HNN 47, 53, 54, UAA 65) (Inner Rim Planets; same as "Givin" planet? (BTS 124); had a senator and domains (HNN 54); New Republic based on Senator (DVS-GM))
Group 16: Teyr, Atzerri, and associated planets (Teyr in the Colonies, Atzerri in the Inner Rim along the Foless Crossroads, Fallanassi route, etc. (DVS-GM); this really mixes in with existing groups along the Rimma Run and Hydian Way)
Fallanassi ship followed an erratic path Rimward from Teyr to Darepp, 23 Mere, Yisgga, New Polokia, Fwiis, then Babbadon (spelling?) before heading Coreward (SOL 153) (Motexx is somewhere Coreward of Babbadon; closest point to Atzerri is along the route to Fwiss at a 150 light year side trip)
Can't go directly to J't'p'tan from Atzerri without crossing over the Borderlands into Imperial territory for a whole third of the trip (SOL 197)
Luke's trip with Akanah went to planets in 5 sectors (TT 342)
The Foless Crossroads (SOL 149) (same outbound vector from Teyr as Atzerri and Darepp)
- 23 Mere (SOL 153)

- Yisgga (SOL 153)
Parfadi sector (SOL 153)
Black Nebula (SOL 153) (unnavigable, has twin supermassive neutron stars)
Group 16: Twin Stars of Kira
- Breshkall (H&R 114) (somewhere beyond Lan Barell and the terminus of the Enarc Run; owner of hidden base there is a successful arms dealer in the Empartheca system)
- Lan system, Lan Barell (AJ1 151; AE 123) (3 days and 5 hours beyond the OR terminus of the Enarc Run; remote; discovered 1,300 years ago; infochant (PG 72))
Map (TSK 3) (there seems to be little reason to believe this map is to scale)
- Arrgaw system (TSK 3)
- Brevost system, Brevost (TSK 3, 87)
- Cerenia system, Ruten (TSK 3, 69)

- Merren system, Merkat (TSK 2) (endpoint of the Harrin Trade Corridor)
- Opiteihr system, Krann (TSK 3, 39; AE 84) (because the sector governor seceeded from the Empire and made her sector neutral, Krann is probably in a different one from Lazerian IV (11))

- Rafft (AJ3 199) (4 days from Vondarc system (216)) (reference in AJ1?)

Harrin sector (TSK 2) (Inner Rim Planets; the Harrin Trade Corridor is the primary route into this sector)
- Harrin system, Harrin (TSK 2) (endpoint of the Harrin Trade Corridor; Inner Rim Planets)
Enarc Run has 7 large marketplace worlds on it (these might not include Enarc, Vondarc, and Ropagi; Pax is one (60)) (TSK 2)
Harrin Trade Corridor passes through 11 major trade centers (these might not include Harrin, Merren, and Lazerian) (TSK 2)
Harrin sector could be next to Tapani sector; this would give it isolation to one side and put Kirima towards CSA.
Kira sector (SS 28) (Really, I think this area was already established before the Kira system was discovered. But maybe it was Kira sector first, then lent its name to that unifying system and its trade route after they were established. (DVS-GM))
- Nigel system, Nigel VI (TSK 3, 6) (not a well-known planet; Nigel III (SS 28, 32); less than 1,000 light-years between Chandrila and here?! (SS 28); another link between the Rimma Run area and Twin Stars of Kira (SS 32))
Group 18: NR Staging Area for attacking Coruscant (if Borleias was established for plotting runs to the Corporate Sector, then it should be on the Hydian Way)
- Noquivzor system, Noquivzor (reference?, SS8) (staging point for taking Borelias (reference?))
- Ord Mirit (reference?)
- Pyria system, Borleias (EGP 48, SP 80, FTP 81) (staging point for taking Coruscant; hours from Ord Mirit and Venjagga; established for plotting runs to the CSA (reference?); any possibility it's near Alderaan? (EGP 48); in the Colonies (EGP xv; NEC 137))

- Ooo-sek (CG 92) (one of the first Rodian colonies)
Parliament of Moralan (Poly170 80) (had long encroached on Hutt territory; Boonta Eve races spanned three days and three worlds: Tatooine, Ko Vari, and Arami; holiday marked the Hutt's three-day epic battle and victory against the Parliament of Moralan, as well as Boonta the Hutt's ascendence to godhood)
- Roon (GOR 113, AJ15 164) (within the dense gas and debris cloud commonly referred to as the Cloak of the Sith; just beyond this nebula (SWDB); staging area for spice smugglers coming from Ryloth; 12% Twi'lek, 11% Duros, 7% Sullustans; 1,000 years before Yavin; Death Wind Corridor (GOR 113) - dangerous (terrain and travelers, apparently), from Roon to Ryloth; Manda-Roon Merchant Route (GOR 113?) - reliable, several "lightstations" (beacons), goes through the Cloak of the Sith, Roon Trade Guild craft patrol it))
- Ryloth system, Ryloth (PSG 136, SWS 82, GOR 118; AE 159) (Outer Rim; Twi'leks part of setting 4,000 years ago (TOTJC 101); one of the first Outer Rim planets discovered, 10,000 years ago (GOR 118); possibility Ryloth is in the Klatooinan Trade Guild's area of influence (AJ11 281); had a senator (HNN 48); Jedi (PJS 105); near the Corellian Run?! (GOR 118); Twi'lek societies on the Corellian Run, Twi'leks everywhere (GOR 118); farther out than Tatooine (GOR 118))
- Seregar (ND 40) (in the Rim; probably somewhat near Kwenn)
- Svivren (LCS 78; AE 150) (important regional trading port - more important as a trade world than Berchest (LC 21) (does this suggest that Berchest is nearby? It might fit in with some other things that way...); Svivreni Trade Alliance government; Ewok and Sullustan population; Nalvar regions (GOR 13))

- Tatoo system, Tatooine (RPG 262, MTS 23, 107, SWDB; AE 74, 129) (Arkanis sector (RPG 198, SWDB); far enough Coreward to have had a human population 4,000 years ago, but secluded and remote (TOTJC 23); Boonta Eve race on Tatooine (Poly170 80); too far off the beaten path for even Ugors and Squibs?! (Chal74 78); Dune Sea places (TPM 67, 70); far beyond the reach of the Trade Federation (TPM 100); "the Republic doesn't exist out here" (TPM 129); Mos Taike - small outpost (SWI74 59))

Area 3: The Gordian Reach
This is another 'Slice,' located between the Perlemian Trade Route and the Hydian Way; for now, this will also include areas located along the Hydian Way and Rimma Run, but not the Tion.
A number of places still need to be moved down here from Area 2. It might be necessary, for continuity within this area, to include Hutt Space and the Tion and even some Outer Rim points. But the outer Hydian Way side of this area is just so attached to Area 2....
Group 19: Bright Jewel priority sector (GOR 152) (hundreds of sectors; includes Ord Mantell and Kwenn Space Station)
- Anobis (SWDB) (nearby to Ord Mantell; miners and farmers - the miners depend heavily on trade (reference?))
- Mon Torri IV (reference?) (located between Ord Mantell and Tatooine)
- Pyrshak system, Manaan (WCPH) (in the Mid-Rim; hotly contested by the Republic and the Sith 4,000 years ago; never was a member of the Republic; the old hyperspace routes fell out of use; this should be sufficient to put it just off the end of the modern Gordian Reach trade route... (DVS-GM))
- Tammuz-an (SOL 143, AJ14 208, SSR 51; SWDB) (might be the same as Vobos; 'nowhere near' Ord Mantell (AJ14 208); at most two or three days from Yefowr; the characters still have enough time to get to Ord Mantell and then to here, from Yefowr, before the deadline?; double-ringed planet (SWDB); nearby Tarnoonga (SWDB))
- Tarnoonga (SWDB Tammuz-an) (nearby to Tammuz-an)
- Toprawa system, Toprawa (GOR 152, BTS 48; SWDB Death Star) (in the Bright Jewel priority sector; a neighbor of Yavin; Death Star plans transmitted here; any chance it's near/towards Tatooine?; sprawling research facility (WCMS Katarn2))

- Yefowr (AJ14 206) (smuggler haven; a spaceport at Taskeed)
Bright Jewel Systems Cluster (SWDB) (a sector or not?; enormous (SL 15))
- Bright Jewel system, Ord Mantell (LCS 74, PG 7, HNN 47, MS 37, EGP 146, TTS 125, Topps #5; RMOM) (outlying world (LCS 74); once a prime military base for the Old Republic (LCS 74); Corellian colonists 12,000 years ago as an advance Republic military and scout base; in a position to base defenses in its sector; prominent trade world (WBC 33); distant? (RPG 189); Thrawn's attacking Ord Mantell drew pressure away from Imperial shipyard supply lines (LC 78) prior to Coruscant? (reference?); located in the heart of the Bright Jewel Systems Cluster (SWDB, EGP 146); in the middle of nowhere but close to some major trade routes (SWDB); called the Heart of the Bright Jewel (SWDB, SL 15); joined the NR four years after Endor (SWDB); Jubilee Wheel space station in orbit (NJOS 80); fifteen satelites (SWDB); a warship stationed here was the closest to Dubrillion when the Yuuzhan Vong attacked (reference?) - NJO is downright rediculous, as this world has been colonized for 12,000 years...; in the Bright Jewel priority sector (GOR 152); in the Mid-Rim (EGP xvi); an outlying world (TTS 125); military-quality starship yards and docks; lost its strategic significance as the Republic expanded to new trade routes; this could be explained by the loss of the Gordian Reach and the blazing of the Hydian Way, but 12,000 years doesn't explain contact with the Hutts (DVS-GM); but did the Republic have contact with the Hutts and Tion for 25,000 years?; attacked by the Yuuzhan Vong (NJOS 82); near Yefowr and Tammuz-an (AJ14 208); Fifteen Moons Casino (SL 3); Ord Mantell's blue sun (SL 5, 8); desert world/barren (SL 5, 8); launch station 2349 (SL 5); Mama's, Ord Mantell's version of a smuggler guild (SL 8); Pink Sky Casino (SL 13); billions of tourists visit each standard year (SL 18); appearance (SL 15); Trandoshans in population (stats))
- Ord Simres (AJ14 223) (in the same sector as Ord Mantell (220, 222))
Group 20: Scoundrel's Luck travel (SL 15) (Han will have to exit hyperspace at least four times along the way from Ord Mantell to Tatooine, one of which will come before entering the Aldo Spachian Comet; flying through a comet in hyperspace because no one would brave a journey through the enormous gravity wells hanging to either side of the Aldo Spachian Comet)
- Aldo Spachian system (SL 33, 58, 12) (Han was plotting a course from Mon Torri; binary stars with the Aldo Spachian Comet hanging in between them; it's a realspace short cut; stars are Aldo and Spach; a week from Mon Torri to here in the Falcon (36); possibly a 10 hour trip instead? (58))
Black Widow Nebula (SL 31) (not a nebula, but a dense region of interstellar dust which is collapsing and will one day form a star (sounds like a nebula to me); 10 days from Ord Mantell, towards the Aldo Spachian Comet and Tatooine; impenetrable, inky darkness ahead that fills the horizon; red, fist-sized "heart" of the star present, giving a faint red tint; approaching the globule at an angle can be dangerous; 10 hours to cross in realspace; must stay awake and pilot carefully the whole time using gyroscopes because the nebula's electromagnetic properties render the flight computer useless)
- Mon Torri (SL 6, 7, 15, 25) (undeveloped, mountainous planet; seven colorful rings; between Ord Mantell and Aldo Spachian system; little commerce nearby; taking a shortcut close to here between Ord Mantell and the Aldo Spachian Comet will save as much as a week of travel time; four days from Ord Mantell to here in the Falcon; several varied pages deal with the surface)
- Shador (SL 73, 74, 6, 37) (Shadorian slime-larva (3); "You don't expect the best smuggler this side of Shador to crash into an orbiting iceberg."; Shadorian assassins (36); several varied pages deal with the surface; Mud Station (60); within Governor-General Vellam's jurisdiction (60); Tatooine is outside Vellam's sector; Shador is the pirate's version of Ord Mantell (SL 65); trip to Shador lasts only two days in the Falcon, probably coming from the Aldo Spachian Comet; Shadorian dragonfly (77))
--look up other Mon Torri
Gordian Reach sector (GOR 152)
- Jovan and Jovan Station (GOR 152, 158) (a sleepy world in the Gordian Reach sector)

- Pinoora (GOR 152) (a sleepy world in the Gordian Reach sector)
- Torque (AJ14 208, GOR 152) (near the Gordian Reach; capital of the Gordian Reach sector (GOR 152))
Vallusk Cluster (GOR 152) (the Gordian Reach sector includes the proto-stars of the Vallusk Cluster; Admiral Ackbar staged a feint nhere to draw off Imperial forces that were going to attack Yavin (NEC 115))
Weytin's Colony/Wetyin's Colony (GG2; GOR 152) ("a sleepy world in the Gordian Reach sector" - false, it is not a planet, but an organization that sought to colonize Yavin IV)
- Yavin system, Yavin IV (GOR 151, SWDB) (out of the way location in the Gordian Reach; how close was it to the traditional Sith Empire? (DSSB 70); in the Gordian Reach sector (GOR 152); battle of Yavin occurred in Governor-General Yellam's sector - might mean Bright Jewel oversector rather than Bright Jewel Systems Cluster (SL 56))
Gordian Reach (on or near it, as a trade route or area...)
The Gordian Reach (AJ14 208; MS 25-27) (the Empire blockaded the entire thing (238) - trade route or area of space? (both!); former, historic trade route (GOR 152); the Gordian Reach went from the Hydian Way to the Perlemian Trade Route (GOR 152); terminus on the Perlemian Trade Route?! just Rimward of the Cron Drift (GOR 152); a great tradition of the Gordian Reach lives on even though most of the route has been swept away by interstellar dust (GOR 152); I am overriding most of this, see the next entry (DVS-GM))
The Gordian Reach (DVS-GM) (The historic Gordian Reach Trade Route shall predate the Hydian Way Trade Route. The Hutts and the Tion had long, long contact with the Republic, but the Hydian Way, which they are near, was only blazed 3,000 years ago (AJ reference?). For the most part, the Gordian Reach was swept away by interstellar dust. This is why a new trade route was needed. The historic Gordian Reach had one terminus on the Perlemian Trade Route, somewhere in the Core Worlds or the Colonies. Its other terminus will be considered Chandaar, in the Cronese Mandate. A Rimward section of the Gordian Reach still exists, and still has Chandaar for a terminus. The Gordian Reach, as a historic area, lies a little bit clockwise of the Hydian Way.)

Junction (formerly known as Faerie Junction (WCMS Hunt4); a trade world at the nexus of the Hydian Way and two minor routes, the Thesme Trace and the Gordian Reach (WCMS Hunt4); now a run-down but busy port (WCMS Hunt4; was the principal transfer point for supplies headed to Yavin 4 (WCMS Hunt4); Outer Rim trade hub - I might override this (DVS-GM))
- Thesme (WCMS Hunt4) (sector capital; a brief hop away from Junction on the Thesme Trace; a lackluster industrial world)

I can't tell if this is near Granse space or not.
Group 24: Bothan colonies and vicinity (the Bothans have colonies throughout the Mid-Rim (WotC 23, UAA 26); this group is on the Perlemian Trade Route or the Duros Space Run (this one is more unassuming), by process of elimination, in order to have enough proximity to Tatooine (DVS-GM))
- Both system, Bothawui (SOEPG 49, WBC 76; AE 32) (in an unassuming section of the galaxy, but located at the juncture of several major trade routes; neutral over Seperatist movement (HNN 48); in the Mid-Rim (WotC 23, UAA 25, 26, EGP xvi); industrial (UAA 26); Bothan brandy (LOECG 55); "our little debacle on Bothan's Planet"? - adventure script (GCQ 17))

(TF 7-1); in the Inner Rim?! (UAA 79); in the Mid-Rim (EGP xvi); Ottegan Mead (GG9 86); Ithor is the fourth planet (AE 72))

- Bestine system, Bestine IV (MTS 61, CRO 43, RAS 139, EGP 40; MTSSE 24) (talked about in a Colonial NewsNet, a Rebel cell there is close enough to Wroona to receive assistance - this could put Bestine on the Rimward side of The Colonies and Wroona on the Coreward side of the Inner Rim; Bestine IV gets referred to as just Bestine (EGP 40); Imperial Navy Yard (MTS 78, EGP 40); Colonial NewsNet even carries news about distant Bakura... (AJ6 237); in the Inner Rim (EGP xv); anywhere near Findris?)
- Calus system (AJ3 223)
- Devaron (GG4 35, UAA 46) (animal (CG 11); in the Inner Rim (UAA 46); along the Corellian Trade Spine (SWDB Aalya Secura); attacks near Devaron hobbled the Republic's resupply efforts at Bestine and points beyond (NEC 65))

Group 28: "Vector Prime" (Yuuzhan Vong initial invasion route; might be near CSA (reference?))
This is just to include some more worlds and to locate a few things. The Yuuzhan Vong suck and won't be in SWC, and the larger-scale military plans of those books are based on flawed maps. This is just a small portion of the galaxy, where they first entered it. And I might well ignore it and use it where it fits for SWC, especially because of the Gravlex Med region confusion.
The Yuuzhan Vong supposedly entered the galaxy in the area of the Tingel Arm (reference?).
- Dubrillion system, Dubrillion and Destrillion (NJOS 34, 41) (inhospitable Outer Rim system; close proximity to Helska; their first inhabited target; Lando's Folly asteroid belt; refugees went to Dantooine, Bastion, and Muunilinst (41))

Dalonbian sector (NJOS 24) (in the Outer Rim)
- Belkadan (NJOS 24) (early world taken by the Yuuzhan Vong; attacked to draw attention away from the base on Helska; not settled because of its location at the edge of the Known Galaxy)

Anx Space (Gamer7 reference?) (their colony worlds and star systems in Raioballo sector)
- Dantooine (JAS 110, PJS 102, UAA 42, NJOS 55; SWDB) (why link Dantooine to Obtrexta sector? (AJ8 174) - may be an outlying system in that direction...; Ackbar would leave Coruscant to tour Dantooine's defenses (LC 63); animal (CG 73); isolated world in the Outer Rim (UAA 42); possibly between Bastion and Garqi (NJOS 44 map); refugees from Dubrillion diverted here instead of going to Agamar (NJOS 55); in the Raioballo sector (Gamer7 reference?); separatists tried to use the planet as a staging area to protect Muunilinst (reference?))
- Gravlex Med (HNN 48, UAA 11) (Mid-Rim; had a senator; Gravlex Mex (UAA 11); the Anx from here soon encountered the Shusugaunt, spacefaring warriors (UAA 11); in Raioballo sector in the Outer Rim (Gamer7 reference?) - just love seeing WotC crap...)

- Mirgoshir system, Agamar (EGP 4, NJOS 61) (in the Outer Rim (EGP xvi); secluded (EGP 4); refugees fled Dubrillion for here; Dantooine might be between Dubillion and here (reference?); the Yuuzhan Vong hit Agamar on their way to Ithor (reference?); in Lahara sector (NJOS 61))
