Free Planet Guidelines

Planet Type

Planet Function:

Unavailable (note that some of these could have been the function in the past):
Administrative/Government
Hidden Base
Research

Discouraged/Limited Availability:
Military

Government:

Unavailable/Discouraged:
Corporate Owned
Galactic Empire (does not disclude an ex-Imperial Governor)
New Republic

Commerce

Population:

Maximum: Tens of billions or possibly more
Recommended: Thousands to hundreds of millions

Note: Because I'm allowing larger populations, I'm disallowing any 'taxes per person' for now.

Resources:

Tell me what you want (be reasonable, and remember that most planets worth having are already Imperial or New Republic), and I'll tell you what you can have.

Industry:

Same deal as with resources.

Starport

I want starports to be the centers of activity in SWI, but they do need a place to be. Free planets are limited to one starport under government ownership at the start, be it a military base or where a restrictive government has all trade pass through under its watchful eye, or it simply owns it while allowing anything to go there. These starports may generate income in character-scale, but will not compete effectively with any PC-owned ones.

Number: 0 to 1
Recommended Number: 1
Class: Usually only Limited Services or Standard; Stellar or Imperial class are 'better' (Standard is still used too) only if trade, administrative/government, or manufacturing is/was the planet's function.
