Air Corps Commander: Major General Shimiel Rehaz
General Description: Few surface battles can be won without support from the skies, and it is this supporting role that the Army Air Corps fills. Composed of a mix of attack starfighters, airspeeders, and cloud cars, the Air Corps is charged with maintaining control over Iyudean airspace in the event of a foreign invasion. There are three types of Air Corps wings:
Air Cavalry. The mission profile of any Air Cav unit involves both attack sorties against enemy troops and equipment, as well as close support missions designed to aid Infantry or Armored units. Current doctrine places one flight each of attack starfighters and airspeeders, supplemented by two flights of airspeeders dedicated to air superiority missions.
Patrol Squadrons. These units are devoted primarily to air superiority mission profiles. Currently, two such units exist; the Air Corps uses them for patrol flights and escort duty at King Daefed Starport. The standard unit strength for a Patrol Squadron includes three flights of four vehicles each.
