General Description: The Iyudean Marines are the heavy assault troops of the IDF, employed in offensive operations and embarked upon starships. Marine divisions contain 5,184 combat personnel, with an organizational structure following the same pattern as that of the Army:
- Four Regiments (Alef-Dalet), each containing 1,296 combat soldiers and divided into
- Four Battalions (1-4), each containing 324 combat soldiers and divided into
- Three Companies (Alef-Gimel), each containing 108 combat soldiers and divided into
- Three Platoons (1-3), each containing 36 combat soldiers and divided into
- Three Squads (1-3), each containing 12 combat soldiers.
Each division also maintains 941 command and support personnel, for a total unit strength of 6,125 personnel.
The Marines currently maintain two active divisions:
The 24th Marine Division, based in Avivash, is the unit that liberated Avivash from Imperial rule. It has a Mobile Infantry brigade attached (see below). The 25th Marine Division is detached into several separate units. One regiment is divided into battalions, one each of which is deployed to Amorri, Hadash-borei, Jopfia, and Tel Reshit. The other three regiments are based off various Iyudean Navy vessels, with a few security squads left over in King Daefed Starport (see below for unit embarkation).
The Marines also maintain 4 reserve divisions:
The 26th Marine Division is based in Avivash. The 27th Marine Division is based in Amorri. The 28th Marine Division is based in Sihon. The 29th Marine Division is based in Jopfia.
The Marines operate the following Air Mobile units:
1st Air Mobile Battalion (Battalion 3/Alef, 24th Marines)
The 1st Air Mobile is a battalion-level command with an operational roster of 360 combat personnel. The troops are equipped with Kappa Troop Shuttles, allowing them unparalleled mobility anywhere in the Saalhomm system, or anywhere else their mission might take them. The 1st Air Mobile has gained a reputation as a quick response team and has been used by the government in cases of emergency flood relief.
The Marines operate the following Mobile Infantry units:
1st Marine Mobile Infantry Brigade (Attached to 24th Marine Division, Avivash)
The 1st Mobile Infantry is a regimental-level command with an ideal operational roster of 1,290 combat personnel. The unit operates 150 assault speeders, with 60% of the force composed of armored personnel carriers. It occupies the position of Dalet Regiment in the 24th's Order of Battle.
The 25th Marine Division's units are embarked on Iyudean Navy ships as follows:
Gimel company, Battalion 1/Dalet serves as additional security at King Daefed Starport, serving as the main security force for the Air Defense Corps facilities there; the other battalions of Dalet Regiment are divided between Army Corps bases in Amorri, Hadash-borei, Jopfia, and Tel Reshit.
