The independent Core World of Anaxes, in the Axum system, has long been known as the Defender of the Core. Its sister world of Axum is the capital of Azure sector.
This sector will be placed in the area of the Core corresponding with the Slice, as this is the most important part, and the part that needs defending the most. WotC tried to place Anaxes on the Perlemian Trade Route, but they understand neither that route nor the Slice. Instead, it will lie between the Perlemian and Corellian Run Trade Routes, bordering on the Colonies region. These Core Worlds sectors and systems are adjacent:
The Martial Cross trade route passes through Anaxes from Coruscant. I haven't figured out yet how close it is to the Hydian Way; putting it at the intersection would require that route to pass out into the Outer Core a second time, something that doesn't match the description well.
This world is meant to be a reserve of ships, to defend the Core Worlds at some point, if the campaign ever goes that way. I'll try to get the different Defender-class ships for it, though it can certainly start with lots of Defender Starfighters.
